Come and join the Banstead Village May Queen Group and join in the fun!
The Banstead Village May Fayre is a wonderful English tradition, with a fantastic parade, followed by Maypole dancing, country dancing and all manner of entertainment. It has been running since 1985.
The Banstead Village May Queen Group is made up of about 20 local families. The May Queen is the child of one of the organising Group, as are her Prince and attendants, and all live in, or have strong ties to Banstead. Each year, The Group organises The Banstead Village May Fayre on the Saturday of the May Bank Holiday weekend. The family of the May Queen decides on the charity supported during their reigning year.
We are looking for new members for our group and invite you to join us and help raise money to support charities. You may have a child or grandchild who would like to be included, or perhaps you are retired and would like to help at this important community event.
